On Monday, Chatfield faced Arvada West in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Chatfield Chargers had just enough and edged the Arvada West Wildcats out  8-7. Winning may never get old, but the Chargers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Chatfield got a great performance from  Isabella Leech as she  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Kendall Davros was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most  home runs  she has posted since back in September.  Lexie Balfanz was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and two  doubles.
 Chatfield  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  hit at least nine  hits in eight consecutive  matches.
 Chatfield has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record  this season. As for Arvada West,  the  defeat snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 12-8 record.
 Chatfield will take on Ralston Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Chatfield is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Arvada West, they will square off against Bear Creek at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Arvada West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1  runs per game  this season.
