The Guntersville Wildcats are on the road again on Thursday to play the Scottsboro Wildcats at 4:30 p.m.
Guntersville lost a close one when they played two weeks ago but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on last Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 10-3 walloping at the hands of Crossville.
Meanwhile, Scottsboro entered their tilt with Fort Payne with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday.
Guntersville dropped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Scottsboro, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Guntersville suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Scottsboro when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can Guntersville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
