The Kemp Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to New Summerfield.
 Kemp's goal came courtesy of
Gracie Vasquez, who's now up to five this season.
Kemp dropped their record down to 1-9-1 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored one goal over those four contests. As for New Summerfield, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2-3.
Kemp will head out on the road to square off against Mabank at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Kemp's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. New Summerfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
