Basketball Recap: Snow Canyon's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Snow Canyon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They managed a 49-43 victory over the Virgin Valley Bulldogs on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Reggie Mackay was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 15 on his way to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gil Lamoreaux, who posted eight points.

Snow Canyon was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Virgin Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Elian Pinto and Corban Waite. Pinto went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points, while Waite went 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of McKAY Mulitalo, who had three points.

Snow Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Virgin Valley, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Snow Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-51 defeat against Canyon View on the 11th. As for Virgin Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-55 loss against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus on the 13th.
