The Lakeland Chiefs won the last time they faced the Lake-Lehman Knights, and things went their way on Friday too. Lakeland really took it to Lake-Lehman for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-7 win on the road. With Lakeland ahead 30-4 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Lakeland found their leader in underclassman David Naniewicz, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Talin Vitzakovitch, who scored 12 points along with 5 steals.
The win got Lakeland back to even at 1-1. As for Lake-Lehman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeland will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Lackawanna Trail at 2:30 p.m. on December 9th. As for Lake-Lehman, they will take on Mid Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Mid Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
