David City and Clarkson/Leigh are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The David City Scouts will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, David City was the victim of a rough 58-33 loss at the hands of Wilber-Clatonia. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points David City has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Clarkson/Leigh didn't have too much trouble with Stanton at home on Thursday as they won 51-36. The victory was just what Clarkson/Leigh needed coming off of a 52-29 defeat in their prior contest.
Trey Steffensmeier was a one-man wrecking crew for Clarkson/Leigh as he scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Korbin Lemburg, who scored nine points.
David City's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Clarkson/Leigh, their victory bumped their record up to 2-16.
David City strolled past Clarkson/Leigh when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 69-51. Does David City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clarkson/Leigh turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
