Hoggard entered their tilt with New Hanover on Thursday with 13 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 14. They blew past the New Hanover Wildcats 67-26. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hoggard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Shivers, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine assists. The contest was Shivers' third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was AK Chance, who went 7-for-8 from beyond the arc on her way to 21 points.

Hoggard smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 13 consecutive games.

New Hanover's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maleah Moses Braxton, who posted eight points and five rebounds, and Zirhe Sellers, who earned two points and six boards.

Hoggard's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.1 points. As for New Hanover, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7.

Hoggard and New Hanover should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Hoggard will take on North Brunswick at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 378 places (15 vs. 393). Hoggard's defense has only allowed 24.6 points per game this season, so New Hanover's offense will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, New Hanover (ranked 45th) will meet West Brunswick (ranked 267th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoggard is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.
