The Lexington Minutemen will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Lexington faced Tri-Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lexington fell to Tri-Valley 46-42. The loss was Lexington's first of the season.
Lexington's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ethan Storm, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Storm's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Micah Coffman was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 69-61 to Tolono Unity. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 4-1 season records intact.
Lexington didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lexington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
