The match between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Perry Central falling 50-34. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for them in their matchups with North Posey: they've now lost three in a row.
Alyssa Heath continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Posey, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Heath is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Bender, who scored eight points.
Perry Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for North Posey, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry Central will take on Heritage Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Hills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Perry Central in Indiana (Heritage Hills is ranked 49th, while Perry Central is ranked 299th). As for North Posey, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Evansville Christian at 6:00 p.m.
