He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Defenderfer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Ethan Brechbill was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Christian Henry was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Academy will take on GVCS Broadfording at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. GVCS Broadfording will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Heritage Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Grace Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
