The Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Wood River as Doniphan-Trumbull made off with a 60-39 win. The victory was familiar territory for Doniphan-Trumbull who now have 14 in a row.
Doniphan-Trumbull's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaden Williams led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Parker Volk was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Doniphan-Trumbull's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Wood River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.
Doniphan-Trumbull didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-46 defeat vs. Concordia on the 10th. Wood River will be playing at home against Kenesaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wood River is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Nebraska (they are ranked 84th, while Kenesaw is ranked 211th).
