Basketball Recap: Fort Lauderdale's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fort Lauderdale extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Azaziah Evans-Blake. Everything went the Fort Lauderdale Flying L's way against the Plantation Colonels on Tuesday as the Fort Lauderdale Flying L's made off with a 55-29 win thanks in part to Evans-Blake, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Zoila Morrison, who posted five points and six boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Plantation still got an impressive performance from Geriyah Williams, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 13 points. That was a full 44.8% of Plantation's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Fort Lauderdale's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Plantation, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Lauderdale will venture away from home to square off against Cooper City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plantation, they will head out to take on South Plantation at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
