Vero Beach waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinal Newman Crusaders, sneaking past 58-55. The score was all tied up 28-28 at the break, but the Indians were the better team in the second half.

Cardinal Newman lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being L.T. Noegel, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Lakin, who had 13 points.

Vero Beach has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Cardinal Newman, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
