On Tuesday, Lighthouse College Prep Academy was beaten by East Chicago Central 69-34. Lighthouse College Prep Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-20.
Lighthouse College Prep Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Derek Scott, Jr, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The matchup was Scott, Jr's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of DeQuan Jones, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Harlan pushed their score all the way to 61 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-61 to Chicago Vocational.
Lighthouse College Prep Academy bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Harlan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Lighthouse College Prep Academy came up short against Harlan in their previous matchup back in January, falling 41-36.
