Parkdale and Northwestern are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Parkdale Panthers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Northwestern Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Parkdale pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Laurel. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Parkdale in their matchups with Laurel: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite their loss, Parkdale saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. anuel decker, who scored 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points decker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mark Freeland, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
Northwestern suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 90-40 loss at the hands of Eleanor Roosevelt. Northwestern was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-12.
Parkdale's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Northwestern, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Parkdale strolled past Northwestern in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 74-60. Will Parkdale repeat their success, or does Northwestern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
