Even though the Lawrence Academy Warriors have not done well against the Ridgecroft Rams recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lawrence Academy walked away with a 74-66 victory over Ridgecroft. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lawrence Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mari Larry, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Larry is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Mike Lee was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Lawrence Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-5. As for Ridgecroft, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence Academy will face off against John Paul II Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Ridgecroft, they will head out on the road to challenge Albemarle School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
