West-Oak is 2-8 against the Bobcats since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The West-Oak Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Seneca Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. West-Oak is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
Even though Crescent scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, West-Oak still came out on top. West-Oak managed a 59-55 victory over the Tigers.
Lucas Towe was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-7 from deep and dropping a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Crompton, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Seneca can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 75-47 victory over Walhalla on the road. Given Seneca's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Razorbacks are ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West-Oak's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-19. As for Seneca, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
Things could have been worse for West-Oak, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-54 loss to the Bobcats in their previous meeting back in January. Can West-Oak avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
