Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Franklin's Third in Last Four Outings

Franklin won the last time they faced Tuscola and things went their way on Friday too. The Franklin Panthers walked away with a 52-41 victory over the Tuscola Mountaineers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Bristol Brooks was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Meliah Mason, who earned 11 points.

Despite the defeat, Tuscola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Julia Wells went 5 of 11 on her way to 19 points and three steals.

Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Tuscola, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Franklin is taking a road trip to challenge Pisgah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pisgah will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Franklin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tuscola, they will be playing at home against North Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuscola is facing North Henderson at the right time seeing as North Henderson is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
