Chapel Hill's loss came about despite a quality game from Rickey Stewart, who rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 81 receiving yards. Stewart hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for eight straight games.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last match, Little Cypress-Mauriceville made sure to put some points up on the board against Hargrave on Friday. Little Cypress-Mauriceville strolled past Hargrave with points to spare, taking the game 42-28.
Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
