Skylar Smith was Hancock's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Smith also led the team in assists with four. She held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.
Hancock's defeat was their 12th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Berkeley Springs, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.
Hancock won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Grace Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Grace Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Berkeley Springs will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southern Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th.
