The Hampton Bulldogs''s homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Polk County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. One thing working in Hampton's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven games.
Last Friday, Hampton strolled past South Greene with points to spare, taking the game 32-14.
Meanwhile, Polk County scored first but ultimately less than York Institute in their game on Friday. They were outmatched by the Dragons on the road and fell 40-12. While losing is never fun, Polk County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 226th, while York Institute is ranked 75th).
Although Polk County took the loss, they still got scores from Matthew Maxwell and Damien McWilliams.
Hampton's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points per game. As for Polk County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
