Monarch entered their tilt with Horizon on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with  a   3-1  win over the Hawks. The game was the first time the Coyotes have beaten the Hawks on their court since October 13, 2015.
 The final score came out to 25-19, 24-26, 25-17,  25-18.
 Ava Maliawco paced Monarch's offense, picking up 13 kills. Maliawco got some help from  Eva Becht and her 18 assists. Maliawco was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.
Monarch's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Horizon,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 12-10.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Monarch is set to  take on  their familiar foe Centaurus  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Horizon will  square off against  rival Fairview  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
