This season hasn't been kind to the King Academy Knights, who are still winless after their ninth contest. They were dealt a 74-16 loss at the hands of Richard Winn Academy on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points King Academy has scored all season.
Richard Winn Academy was led to victory by Miller Stuck and Drew Spires. Stuck scored 14 points along with nine assists and five rebounds, while Spires scored 22 points along with two steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Spires posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Autry, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
King Academy bumped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Richard Winn Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which somehow isn't as good as their 14-1 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King Academy on the road again on Thursday and play against Wardlaw Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Richard Winn Academy, they will take on Newberry Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
