The Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 55-11 win over Cambridge on the road. Marie Philip's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Xavier DeLeon was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six steals. DeLeon is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Novas, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Marie Philip's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Cambridge, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marie Philip will take on Newman at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cambridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Hebron Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
