Jose Gurrola gave up the fewest hits he has since back in March on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. He also tossed two walks, which is notable because Firebaugh is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-6 otherwise.

Gurrola's strong effort led Firebaugh over Dominguez and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
