The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Glenvar in their matchups with Floyd County: they've now lost four in a row.
Glenvar's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adam Franklin, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Brody Dawyot was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.
Glenvar's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Floyd County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.
Glenvar will challenge Alleghany at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Alleghany's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. Floyd County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chilhowie at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th.
