After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pitman, Salem was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Salem has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Salem will square off against Clayton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams are facing the Clippers at the right time seeing as the Clippers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they have already played their next contest, an 11-1 loss against Salem County Vo-Tech on the 6th.
