Hana Scripture was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Elkins, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Walled Lake Western never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Kettering. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Captains: they've now won five in a row.
Maddie Farrand made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Farrand was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Walled Lake Western got a massive performance out of Sierra Geisler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs.
