Master's Academy has gone 9-1 against Brevard HEAT recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Master's Academy Patriots will welcome the Brevard HEAT Firehawks at 7:30 p.m. Master's Academy has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 12.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-27, which was the final score in Master's Academy's tilt against Florida Prep on Friday. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Despite the loss, Master's Academy had strong showings from Jayshawn Troutman, who posted four points, and Fennel Eugene, who earned 12 points. Eugene is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
Meanwhile, Brevard HEAT posted their biggest win since December 14, 2024 on Monday. They put the hurt on Innovation Montessori with a sharp 56-34 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-15.
Master's Academy better focus on containing Ryan Younger and Elias Ojala as the pair were huge in Brevard HEAT's win. Younger went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points and three steals, while Ojala almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Ojala a new career-high in steals (six). Aydin Younger was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.
Brevard HEAT smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Brevard HEAT's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13. As for Master's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Master's Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Brevard HEAT in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory.
