The Lake Norman Wildcats will head out to square off against the Davie War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lake Norman has six straight victories, Davie has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Lake Norman was able to grind out a solid win over West Cabarrus, taking the game 6-1.

Meanwhile, Davie came up short against West Forsyth on Friday and fell 7-4.
Colin Harrison was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Coy James was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Potts, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Lake Norman's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's match. Lake Norman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Davie, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lake Norman continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Lake Norman's way against Davie when the teams last played back in March of 2018, as Lake Norman made off with a 12-0 win. Does Lake Norman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Davie turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
