The Jefferson Raiders had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 25-24 win over Beamer. The victory was just what Jefferson needed coming off of a 64-25 defeat in their prior game.
When it comes to explaining why Beamer lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Jane Wanjiku. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with two steals. Wanjiku continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.
Jefferson's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for Beamer, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.
Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Beamer also has no future games currently scheduled.
