Basketball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Beats Hilliard Bradley for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Worthington Kilbourne entered their tilt with Hilliard Bradley on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars by a score of 53-43. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 47-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Worthington Kilbourne was led to victory by Audrey Bennett and Bella White. Bennett dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 assists, while White went 5 for 9 on her way to 10 points and five steals. With that strong performance, White is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliviah Wilkerson, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Worthington Kilbourne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Hilliard Bradley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tate Dudley dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for Dudley. Another player making a difference was Sophia Lopez, who put up six points.

Worthington Kilbourne has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Hilliard Bradley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Worthington Kilbourne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-35 victory against Hayes on the 31st. As for Hilliard Bradley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-33 win against Hilliard Davidson on the 31st.
