Arroyo Valley is 0-6 against Carter since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Arroyo Valley Hawks will be staying on the road to face off against the Carter Lions at 3:30 p.m. on December 26th. Arroyo Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1223rd, while Carter is ranked 456th).
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Arroyo Valley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-37 loss to Moreno Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Arroyo Valley in their matchups with Moreno Valley: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Carter waltzed into their match last Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Bloomington by a score of 61-50.
Arroyo Valley's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-11. As for Carter, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Arroyo Valley suffered a grim 69-49 defeat to Carter in their previous matchup back in January. Can Arroyo Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
