4A Piedmont Triad recap Nov. 7, 2012
East Forsyth extended the longest winning streak in 4A Piedmont Triad this week by beating Providence, 42-7. The victory was the 12th in a row for the Eagles.
East Forsyth took down the Panthers 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Garrison Duncan threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 205 yards in the win.
Todd Willert's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jalen Johnson helped East Forsyth's passing attack out by catching one ball for 31 yards.
Ace Miller was the best wideout in the league this week as the Eagles topped Providence. Miller racked up one reception for 40 yards.
High Point Central's Justin Johnson and Jawan Foggie have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 2153 yards this season, while Foggie, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 56 catches for 833 yards. Lavaughnte' Smith from East Forsyth leads the league in rushing with 1120 yards.
Northwest Guilford led 4A Piedmont Triad in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Northwest Guilford.
