After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Utica Eisenhower, Chippewa Valley was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-3  victory over the Fraser Ramblers. For the Big Reds, this counts as revenge for the   5-3 win the Ramblers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
 Miley Austin made a big impact no matter where she played. She  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. What's more,  she posted two  strikeouts, the most she's  had  over her last six  matchups. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Austin wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Frankie Goodrich, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI. Another  was  Sam Mondalek, who  got on base  in two of her four plate appearances with two  runs.
Chippewa Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Fraser,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-4.
 Coming up, Chippewa Valley will take on Imlay City at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Fraser, they will welcome New Haven  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Ramblers are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
