Despite the loss, Notre Dame had strong showings from Termaine Barr, who gained 133 total yards and a touchdown, and Luke Miklos, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Barr really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Meanwhile, Ludlowe never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past Bridgeport Central 68-0 at home. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 144th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ludlowe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Tompkins, who picked up 35 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. What's more, Tompkins also racked up 28 rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in October of 2023. Grant Stupak was another key player, throwing for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
