Basketball Game Preview: Harrison Central Red Rebels vs. Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors

The Harrison Central Red Rebels and the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors will round out the year against one another at at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Harrison Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 75-65 victory over Port Gibson on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Rebels considering their ten-point performance the game before.

Harrison Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Boggs, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 boards. Those 16 points gave Boggs a new career-high. Jordon Beard was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Meanwhile, Cottage Hill Christian Academy earned a 52-41 victory over Satsuma on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Cottage Hill Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Harrison Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

Harrison Central couldn't quite finish off Cottage Hill Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 61-58. Can Harrison Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
