In what's become a running theme this season, the Sickles Gryphons gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 67-4 victory over Strawberry Crest at home. The win was nothing new for Sickles as they're now sitting on three straight.
Sickles found their leader in underclassman Kelsey Sharpe, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sharpe has scored all season. Beckham Hockley was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with four steals.
Sickles is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Strawberry Crest, they bumped their record down to 6-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Sickles won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Alonso at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Alonso comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Strawberry Crest won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Durant at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Durant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday.
