Marshall County hasn't had much luck against Tullahoma recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will take on the Wildcats at 4:15 p.m.
It was a proper cat-fight when Marshall County challenged Columbia Central on Thursday. The Tigers fell 10-5 to the Lions. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cahlin Henry put in work no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Reid Mitchell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tullahoma, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Coffee County Central 8-1 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Lukas Taylor-Rodriguez looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Tullahoma let Baylan Tuten and Hunter Hogan run wild. Tuten went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Hogan got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Tullahoma's record is now 20-8. As for Marshall County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Marshall County has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Tullahoma struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Marshall County couldn't quite finish off Tullahoma in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
