Mooresville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt A.L. Brown on Tuesday. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Wonders with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Blue Devils have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mooresville let Southern Smith-Tilley and Gavin Barber run wild. Smith-Tilley scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Barber scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave Smith-Tilley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Waugh, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Mooresville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for A.L. Brown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.
