Omarean Ellis Turns in Season-Best Performance
Omarean Ellis produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Jackson Academy to the win on Friday. Ellis rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023.
Jackson Academy's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Ellis and Jackson Academy will square off against Starkville Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kaden Catchings and Co. Win 21st in a Row
Kaden Catchings's big game helped extend Hartfield Academy's winning streak to 21 on Friday. Catchings did his part (and then some), rushing for 152 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries for the 'W'.
Hartfield Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Catchings and Hartfield Academy will venture away from home to face off against Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hartfield Academy picked up their 21st consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to London Simmons. Simmons turned in his biggest game of the season, picking up 4.5 sacks and making eight total tackles (7.0 for loss).
Oak Forest Academy had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Simmons it was a similar story. When Simmons last faced the Yellowjackets back in September of 2023, he picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Puckett Posts Huge Game in 42-7 Victory
Billy Puckett was instrumental in extending Jackson Prep's winning streak to seven on Friday. Puckett was dynamite, throwing for 213 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Puckett is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Presbyterian Christian on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Puckett saw the Bobcats), he threw for 296 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Kenzy West's Big Game Leads Hartfield Academy over Oak Forest Academy
Kenzy West's big game helped extend Hartfield Academy's winning streak to 21 on Friday. Oak Forest Academy had no answer to West as he rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 58 receiving yards. The dominant performance gave West a new career-high in rushing yards.
Oak Forest Academy's probably not too fond of West given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time West saw the Yellowjackets), he picked up 153 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
