Lifegate Christian was dealt a 89-61 loss at the hands of Sunnybrook Christian on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Lifegate Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1185th, while Sunnybrook Christian is ranked 429th).
Sunnybrook Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Huber out in front who dropped a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds. Huber hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Gabe Minica, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds.
Lifegate Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sunnybrook Christian, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.
Lifegate Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Founders Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Founders Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Tuesday. As for Sunnybrook Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge San Marcos HomeSchool at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Marcos HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 461 points over their last seven matches.
