Poudre Community Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were outmatched by Golden View Classical Academy at home and fell 87-59. Poudre Community Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.
Voetelink put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 32 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Tyrell Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Nederland's game on Wednesday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union Colony Prep. Nederland has struggled against Union Colony Prep recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Nederland saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Rick Fortunato, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon, who scored seven points.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Poudre Community Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 40.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Nederland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
