Vandercook Lake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Vandercook Lake took a serious blow against Hanover-Horton, falling 78-49. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Vandercook Lake in their matchups with Hanover-Horton: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Homer was beaten by Columbia Central 71-44 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Homer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while Columbia Central is ranked 33rd).
Vandercook Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Homer, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4.
Vandercook Lake took a serious blow against Homer in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 74-32.
