Even though the Pine Crest Panthers scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Somerset Academy Key Lions still came out on top. Somerset Academy Key walked away with a 66-55 win over Pine Crest. That's two games straight that Somerset Academy Key has won by exactly 11 points.
Pine Crest's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rowan Hoffman, who scored 23 points. Hoffman scored a full 41.8% of Pine Crest's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kareem Khouri, who scored 14 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Somerset Academy Key and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Pine Crest, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Somerset Academy Key will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Grandview Prep at 4:30 p.m. on December 5th. Grandview Prep will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Pine Crest will take on Franklin Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
