Basketball Recap: Countryside Academy Skates Past Pansophia Academy with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eau Claire, Countryside Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 65-31 win over the Pansophia Academy Pansophia Pumas. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougar considering their 24-point performance the match before.

Pansophia Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greyson Tomlinson, who posted nine points and eight rebounds. Tomlinson has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times he's played. Israel Washington was another key player, putting up eight points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks.

Countryside Academy pushed their record up to 5-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Pansophia Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Countryside Academy has already played their next game (against River Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pansophia Academy will take on West Michigan Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Michigan Lutheran has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
