The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Windsor Academy in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost seven in a row.
Savannah Roberts and Kyndall Bowen certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Roberts scored nine points along with eight rebounds, while Bowen scored 18 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 51.4% of Windsor Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Windsor Academy's loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.9 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Academy will take on the at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Gators at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (Gatewood is ranked 272nd, while the Crusaders are ranked 252nd).
