The DeKalb Barbs have the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome the Rockford East E-Rabs at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. DeKalb is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6  runs per game  this season.

  Jackson Kees made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Kees has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Kees was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and a  double.
 Kees wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Cole Latimer, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Rockford East was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight  loss. They lost  22-0 to Freeport.
 DeKalb has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record  this season. As for Rockford East, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
