When it comes to explaining why South Davidson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tanner Walters. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Walters scored a full 30.9% of South Davidson's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Byerly, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals.
South Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Stanly, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
South Davidson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wheatmore at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Wheatmore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for North Stanly, they will head out on the road to face off against Uwharrie Charter on Friday. One thing working in Uwharrie Charter's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
