Paint Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delainey Mannion, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Kyla Littler was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westfall). They put the hurt on Huntington with a sharp 15-1 win on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Huntsmen recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Adrina Hicks made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Anna Snyder was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Cook, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Westfall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Paint Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Westfall, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
